Calculating a novated lease
Calculating your novated lease will estimate your savings and costs based upon your personal situation, the car and the amount you drive it.
Here are the main factors which will impact your quote
The car you lease
The price of the car you lease will have a major impact on the cost of the lease, in general, a more expensive vehicle will have a higher lease payment. Electric vehicles (including plug-in hybrids) will typically have a significantly cheaper lease cost due to the fringe benefits tax exemption.
The amount you drive
With a fully-maintained novated lease, the calculation will also include all your running costs. These are all estimated based upon the KMs you drive annually. Car running costs that can be included are fuel/charging, insurance, rego/CTP, tyres and servicing.
Your income
The novated lease calculator will take into account your tax rate to estimate tax savings. As a general rule, the higher your tax rate, the more tax savings you will get.
The length of the lease
The duration of the lease will impact on your repayments, with a longer lease term, also comes lower repayments as the costs are spread out. A longer lease term will also reduce the residual value at the end of the lease.
% of personal use
When we calculate your lease, we factor in the percentage of business purpose for the vehicle. Business use is not subject to fringe benefit tax and can reduce the lease costs
Where you are buying the car
This will have some impact on delivery delivery costs, stamp duty costs, rego costs and potentially incentives if you choose an EV.
Finance costs
The interest on the lease and any other financing costs will also impact your estimated costs
